Bye Bye Dino's, Hello Cars

As you may know Diesel was climbing out of his bed. After much thought and looking around I decided to move him up in the world of life and take him out of the crib and put him in a toddler bed. For those who don't know, a Toddler bed is the same size mattress as a crib but it's a bed that's only about 1 foot off the floor and has side rails so the "toddler" doesn't fall out of bed.
So Diesel is in Love with CARS!!! The Disney Movie Cars and Hot Wheels and all other cars. We decided to re-do his room and got him a Cars bed. Since all his baby bedding was Dinosaurs we had to get new things. I enjoyed shopping and redecorating. Unfortunately I don't have any before pictures but here is the new improved "Big Boy" room!

The Blue shelves are new. It was on sale at Target and alot better then the old basket I used to throw all his toys in. See is new bed. It has Lightning McQueen on the head board and Matter on the foot board. I decided not to waste money on bedding so we use the blanket my mom got Diesel for Christmas.
I had to get new curtains seeing how the old ones came with the bedding. I found these on clearance at Walmart. The sign above Diesel's bed is a Cars dry erase board. It was only a $1 at Target and I wrote Diesel's Raceway on it. I bought the Cars themed Cars wall decals and the Cars Border too.

This corner has his bookshelf and some other toys. Yes I know the boarder doesn't go all around. But the last one stopped here too. I may one day buy 1 more roll to finish this small wall.

We bought a futon in November and put it in Diesel's room. It will be his bed when he's out of the toddler bed. and for now it's perfect in his room.

I made this sign. I bought all the supplies at Micheal's. I think it turned out really cute!

Diesel is doing GREAT in his "Big Boy" Bed. He will only get out of bed maybe once and sometimes he doesn't at all. He loves to be tucked in and it's so cute!
