This was Rylee's 1st time to experience Field Day. She was so happy I was able to come watch her. First Rylee's class did a relay race. They had to sit on this wooden cart then push their way down to the other end, turn around and go back. Rylee's team came in 2nd. She did really good.
Next they went to the giant tent. They played fun games with balls and had to pop the tent to make the balls fly high in the sky. They would run around and then run under the tent. It was very cute.
The next station was the sponge toss. This one was AWESOME! They had 6 kids sit on one side of the chain link fence and all the other kids lined up on the other side. They would then take sponges that were sopping wet and throw them at the fence to get the other kids wet. It was so cute. Rylee had a blast
After that they had another relay race. They were given a bucket with holes all over it and they had to run down and dump the bucket in another bucket. The line that filled the bucket up first won.
There was an Otter Pop station too. The kids really liked this one. They all brought $.50 in and bought an otter pop.
Rylee looked so cute all wrapped up and with her hat on. She is a beautiful girl!
Taylor's class had a Tug-of-War first. They didn't win the whole thing but they did really good and had lots of fun!
Next they played Blind Volleyball. Each team sat on one side of the divider and hit a beach ball back and forth. It was so funny because the kids couldn't see when the ball was coming or where it was going. They all were so loud and had so much fun.
Tay did the relay race too... She was pretty good but her team came in 2nd to last.
The kids did the giant tent but I think 2nd grade wasn't as happy and content with this as the kindergartners were.

Both my girls were on the receiving end of the Sponge Toss. I really think this is such a great idea for a fun thing to do at home if you happen to have a fence. They kids LOVED it and it was pretty fun to watch too.

The 2nd Graders did the Bucket fill Boy -vs- Girls. They were older and bigger and able to put the bucket over head like they were supposed too and got soaked. It was such a nice day and they Loved it. I also think this would be a great idea for a game at home. The boys ended up wining but the girls gave them a run for their money.
Oh I LOVE their bathing suits! They are so cute! I want one!
ReplyDeleteThe girls are getting so big! We love reading your blog and sharing, even from a distance, the fun things they do. Gramps and I are really looking forward to our visit with all the Hanel family soon!
